Jeep Wrangler YJ 1984-1995
The Jeep YJ is the very first jeep to be sold with the name Wrangler. It was introduced in 1987 as the next generation to the CJ model jeep. The new model featured added comfort interior, a bit less ground clearance and a wider wheelbase when compared to the CJ. Suspension changes were also minor. They included the addition of tracbars, swaybars and wider leaf springs. The biggest noticable change, was the addition of rectangular headlights. Commonly known as the "square headlight jeep", it was a major change from the CJ. Before the YJ, all jeeps had round headlights.
